Mr. Lyon is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Areté Partners, with over 34 years in corporate restructuring, expert testimony, and corporate governance. His fair, objective analysis of operations, strategic planning, cash-flow and liquidity alternatives, negotiations, and restructuring options is always conducted in the best interests of the organization and its people, bringing a clear perspective and sound mind to otherwise emotional circumstances.
He has formulated and executed business plans across a diverse range of industries at every stage of the business lifecycle, from airline companies to dairy farms and everything in between. Over his career he has testified more than 30 times across bankruptcy, federal district, and state courts, making him invaluable to the strategic turnaround process.
Mr. Lyon has served on numerous boards of directors, all involving companies in distress or requiring an independent board member. He also served as financial advisor to the Government of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, where he stabilized and executed a strategy to recover a bankrupt $5 billion hotel and casino project. His philosophy toward business and life is the same: people matter.
